When I was a kid there was a certain super premium ice cream company that made Maple Walnut ice cream in a unique way — no refined sugar, it was sweetened only with maple syrup. They don't make this flavor anymore, and while other copycat brands use a sugar maple syrup blend, we sweeten ours all naturally with pure maple syrup and nothing else… we also love how the toasted walnuts stay magically crunchy despite being bathed in a creamy maple custard. Don't ask how! It's just magic!
